On NHRA Pro Stock cars what is the little thing on the window that the Crew chief pushs after the burnout??
On the TV coverage they show them all the time pushing it in, but i have never haerd them say what it is.
Its just a window latch. It just secures the door for aerodynamics. It keeps the door pulled in tight to the body since they want to flex out at high speeds.
The computer is usually activated at the rear of the car just before launch, the guy that looks like he sneeking around the back of the car is the one activating it.
