Scratch Built
do any of yous know where i can get a classic mini built from scratch?
my gf has a mini and is having to sell soon as the cafr is past it.. was wondering if places would build one from scratch. im pretty sure you can get all the parts still or so iv been told!

A lot of, but not all, the parts for classic minis can be bought new. You couldn’t just buy all the bits from once place and bolt them all together, you’d have to find stuff from various sources and some of them have to be second hand.
To have get a good-as-new mini, the best bet is to get two or more cheap minis which together make a mostly good one. Strip down to the shell the one with the best body, get it acid dipped to the bare metal, buy replacement panels and weld everything up so that you have a complete rust free body. Get it all sprayed nice. Start rebuilding it with the choicest parts from the minis you bought, using the scrapyard or buying new for the parts for which you dont have decent bits.
If you really want everything pristine and want to spend a lot of money then do the above but buy every part you can new and only use the old ones where there’s not new available. Alternatively go visit a mini club and offer silly money to the bloke who’s spent 20 years restoring his mini to perfection.
