As the sound quality with an Ipod Ipod ready head unit in a car?

I have heard that an iPod ready head unit with a cable to a ipod is the best method for playing the iPod in the car. I wonder how the sound quality is bass, treble, etc. .. In the hope that it is only as good as listening they say they are really hard to read. Simply take a head unit with line-in inputs and you get a line-out adapter for iPod. Connect it to this Wise. It sounds great, and you use the iPod itself to control the music. The sound quality is as good as the rest of your system. The iPod is not limited to in any way.
